White Ribbon Edinburgh group

The White Ribbon Edinburgh group now meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month in the Wash Bar, situated on the Mound. They also have their own web site at http://whiteribbonedinburgh.org which includes a map of how to get to the pub.

Next meeting is Thursday March 6th, 2008 at 20:30. Each meeting aims to tackle an issue that relates to, contributes to or even justifies violence against women.

They will also be raising awareness of the campaign and celebrating International Women’s Day with a stall on Princes St on the 8th of March. The group will be situated by Wellington’s statue and will be promoting the aims of the group as well as petitioning against a women’s sexual history being used in court in rape cases.

If you live in the Edinburgh area, go along and get involved. They are a great bunch of guys and everyone committed to helping stop violence against women will be made very welcome!
